Meet Jaime: The Heart Behind Peaces4Paws!
Jaime is the creative behind Peaces4Paws, a small handcrafted business based in Sparks, NV, and they donate 10% of every sale to Animal Rescues or Organizations. A lifelong animal lover, Jaime has four rescue dogs of her own and has even welcomed a rescue cat into her family.
Jaime has been part of The Swap Society community as a vendor, sharing her handcrafted creations with our supportive community. She also hosts animal adoption events, with her fourth event coming up this fall, as she works toward hosting two adoption events each year.
In our latest interview, we’re getting to know Jaime beyond her beautiful creations — from the story behind Peaces4Paws and her passion for animal rescue to what inspires her work and her connection to community-centered, intentional shopping.
Can you introduce Peace4Paws and share how it all started?
Peaces4Paws started as a literal dream in the late fall of 2024. I dreamed one night that I would start a handcrafted, one of a kind jewelry business to help animals and animal organizations, and it would be called, “Peaces4Paws.”
What inspired you to combine jewelry with a purpose-driven mission?
I’ve always made my own jewelry and, per my dream, wanted to see if others would love my mission and my jewelry.
What makes your designs and brand identity unique?
Every “peace” is completely one of a kind. I handcraft everything, and each peace has a story. I do a lot of vintage repurposing, and work with stones, leather and different metals (mostly sterling silver). I’m also not aware of any other jewelry business that’s purpose is to help animals and the Rescues/Organizations that help them.
How does sustainability show up in your materials, sourcing, or production process?
I repurpose vintage items and I source mostly from very small Etsy shops and suppliers that ethically source their materials.
Can you walk us through your creative process when designing a piece?
I usually work on two to four items at a time. I start with a focal point, such as a pendant or stone, and then listen to what it wants to be, i.e., a bracelet, necklace or earrings.
I will pull suede/leather, or metal chains and/or stones that work together.
As I work. At times I will put each peace aside and work on another, until each peace is finished, and means something to me.

What has been the most rewarding part of building Peace4Paws so far?
Being able to give back to the Animal Welfare Community, and non-profit organizations. Last year I donated a total of $1500+ in cash to 10 organizations, and $1300+ in jewelry.
I’ve also held 3 pet adoption events, our last event resulting in the adoptions of 6 animals, saving lives and allowing the rescues to pull more animals from the shelters.
What are your goals or next steps for growing the brand?
I would love to have my jewelry in brick and mortar stores and grow my brand name, so that I can sell more jewelry, make larger donations, and help more animals.
